DHAKA, Dec 23 (BSS) - President Zillur Rahman today expressed his deep shock and sorrow at the death of Advisory Council member of Bangladesh Awami League, Abdur Razzaq, MP.
In a message of condolence, the President recalled the contribution of Abdur Razzaq to struggle of the country's independence. The nation has lost a dedicated and senior politician in his death, the President said.
Zillur Rahman prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his profound sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
Abdur Razzaq, chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee for the Water Resources Ministry, a former presidium member of Bangladesh Awami League and organizer of the War of Liberation and former minister was suffering from kidney and liver disease, died in a hospital in London today.
