DHAKA, March 14 (BSS)- Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today directed the authorities of Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) to enhance the standard of the institution to world class.
She also stressed the need for ensuring the quality of exportable goods of Bangladesh to sustain in the competitive world market.
The Prime Minister expressed the views when a delegation of Bangladesh Accreditation Board called on her at her office here
After the call on, Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Abul
Kalam Azad briefed reporters about the outcome of the meeting.
Sheikh Hasina expressed satisfaction over the performance of
the board in the last three years.
Industries Minister Dilip Barua, Principal Secretary to the
Prime Minister Sheikh M Wahid Uz zaman, PMO Secretary Mollah
Waheeduzzaman and Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad were present.
Earlier, a delegation of Chittagong University led by its
Vice-Chancellor Anwarul Azim Arif paid a courtesy call on the
Prime Minister at her office.
During the call on, the delegation members apprised the Prime
Minister of various problems of the university. Sheikh Hasina
gave a patient hearing and assured them of solving their problems
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, PM's Education Adviser Dr Alauddin Ahmed, Principal Secretary Sheikh M Wahid Uz zaman, PMO Secretary Mollah Waheeduzzaman, Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad and former vice-chancellor of Chittagong University Professor Abdul Mannan were also present.
