DHAKA, March 17 (BSS) - A 13-day solo art exhibition titled Bangabandhu- Bangladesher Protik (Bangabandhu- Epitome of Bangladesh) by artist Shahjahan Ahmed Bikash was inaugurated today at National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in the city.
The exhibition has been arranged to celebrate the 92nd birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Renowned artist Qayum Chowdhury inaugurated the exhibition recalling Bangabandhu's memories.
Information Minister Abul Kalam Azad attended the inaugural session as chief guest with BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky in the chair.
Barrister Fazle Nur Taposh was also present at the programme as special guest. The exhibition featured 41 portraits both on paper and canvas on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's memorable life and works.
Bikash said, "The exhibition Bangabandhu- Bangladesher Protik is a tribute to our Father of the Nation on his 92nd birth anniversary. The exhibition can be called 'the biography of Bangabandhu' as it showcases his sparkling life from childhood."
