SYLHET, March 24 (BSS) - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who arrived here this morning on a day-long official visit, has offered fateha at the mazars of great saints Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) and Hazrat Shah Paran (RA).

She also prayed for continuous peace, progress of the nation and welfare of the countrymen.

Earlier, the Prime Minister formally inaugurated the commissioning of the Sylhet 150-MW power plant at Kumargaon.

Later today, Sheikh Hasina, also the Awami League chief, will address a public meeting to be organised by 14-party combine, at Government Alia Madrasa ground.
