DHAKA, April 2 (BSS) - President Zillur Rahman was admitted to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore today for his medical checkup.

The President reached Singapore by a regular flight of Singapore Airlines this morning, according to a message received here from Singapore.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to Singapore Qamrul Ahsan, Singapore High Commissioner to Bangladesh Chan Heng Wing and other officials received the President at the airport.

Singapore President Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam invited President Zillur Rahman to a tea party on April 7 at the Presidential Palace. President Rahman has accepted the invitation of his Singaporean counterpart, the message said.

President Zillur Rahman is expected to return here on April 10.
