DHAKA, April 9 (BSS)- At least ten shops were gutted when a fire broke out in a market at Araihazar crossing under Araihazar Upazila of Narayanganj district in the early hours of today.

The fire service head office sources said the fire
originated from a burning cigarette at about 3.00am and spread
quickly over the whole area while people were asleep.

Two fire fighting units doused the blaze after one hour of
frantic efforts.

No casualties were reported.
