DHAKA, June 6 2013, (BSS)- The government has decided to appoint Mosud Mannan, currently serving as additional foreign secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the new Ambassador of Bangladesh to Uzbekistan, an official release said here today.
A career diplomat, Mosud Mannan belongs to 1984 batch of BCS
(Foreign Affairs) Cadre.
In his distinguished diplomatic career, besides his
ambassadorship in Morocco and Germany, he served in Bangladesh
Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, Bangladesh
Embassies in Muscat and Beijing and Bangladesh High Commission,
London in various capacities.
Mosud Mannan obtained MSS degree in Economics from the
University of Dhaka and also an MA from the Fletcher School of
Law and Diplomacy, USA.
He successfully completed National Defense Course from the
National Defense College, Dhaka in 2006.
Mosud Mannan served as the general secretary of International
Studies Association, Bangladesh.
He is married and blessed with one son.
