RANGPUR, Apr 12 (BSS) - The Indian government has provided scholarships to 125 children of Freedom Fighters (FFs) of Rangpur studying at different secondary, higher secondary and under- graduation level educational institutions.

Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur BM Enamul Haque distributed cheques of the scholarship money among the students as the chief guest at a simple ceremony at Town hall auditorium in the city yesterday.

Defense Adviser of the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh Brigadier General P C Sinha attended the ceremony with Deputy Commander of Rangpur unit of Muktijoddha Sangsad Rafikul Islam Gopal in the chair.
