JAMALPUR, March 6 (BSS) - A mobile court today convicted a man and sentenced him one year imprisonment for snatching a gold chain at Jamalpur Railway station.

The convicted was identified as Shree Uzzal Saha, 28,of village Gouripur in Sherpur district.

Officer-in-Charge of Jamalpur Railway Thana Khandaker Shaker Ahmed said the on duty police arrested him while he snatched the chain from a female passenger of Intercity Teesta train this
afternoon.
Police subsequently produced him before a mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Farah Gul Nijhum pronounced the punishment after recording witnesses.
