JHENIDAH, March 19 (BSS) - Ten people were injured in a clash between two rival groups of Bangladesh Awami League at Hatfazilpur bazar under Shailkupa upazila of the district on Sunday.
Police said the clash took place between groups led by
chairman of Abaipur Union Parishad Amjad Mollah and former
chairman Mukter Hossain Mridha over establishing supremacy in the
area.
Among the injured persons, Tofazzal, Mokbul Monzel and
Mannan were admitted to Shailkupa Upazila Health complex.
OC Shailkupa Police station Ahsan Habib confirmed the
incident and said four persons were detained for interrogation.
He said additional police were deployed there to maintain
law and order. |
