RANGPUR, Mar 27 (BSS) -A 42-day skill-development training course for community health care providers (CHCPs) continues in the auditorium of Rangpur Civil Surgeon Office in the city.
Chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa formally inaugurated the course at a ceremony on Sunday as the chief guest with Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Fazlul Haque in the chair.
Civil Surgeon Dr Rezaul Karim, deputy director of Department of Family Planning Abdus Samad, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Mozammel Haque and Union Parishad Chairman Ferdous Alam attended the ceremony as special guests.
Speakers at the ceremony highly appreciated the present government for the epoch-making initiative of reviving, revitalizing and expanding the union level community health centres and sub- centres to ensure healthcare services for the rural people.
They asked the trainee CHCPs to sincerely participate in the training course and acquire adequate skills to make the government's initiative successful through ensuring quality healthcare services at the grassroots levels.
A total of 103 CHCPs from the Sadar Upazila have been taking part in the course to acquire practical knowledge and skills for providing quality medicare services to the rural people.
Senior physicians and concerned experts have been conducting the training course.
