RANGPUR, April 1 (BSS) - The body of a madrasa teacher was recovered from a pond in the village Nidhirampur under Mithapukur upazila here today.

The victim was identified as Ekramul Haque, 45, a computer teacher of Nidhirampur Girls' Madrasa in the same area.

Police said Ekramul went out of his house last night after getting a mobile phone call and did not return.

After discovering the body in nearby pond in the village, local villagers informed Mithapukur police and they recovered the body and sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

A murder case was filed with Mithapukur Thana and police suspected that the teacher might have been killed following previous enmity.
