PANCHAGARH, April 6 (BSS) - The farmers in Panchagarh are getting bumper production of wheat this year.

The Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) sources said farmers cultivated wheat on over 2, 400 hectares of land in five upazilas of the district with the production target of 7,200 metric tones.

The farmers of the areas expressed their satisfaction over the wheat production and price this year.

They got 10-12 maunds of wheat each bigha and sold Tk 1,100 - 1200 per maunds.

Deputy Director of DAE said due to favourable weather condition and smooth supply of agriculture inputs were the main reasons for bumper production.
