RANGPUR, Apr 8 (BSS) - Discussants at a rally here yesterday urged the teachers for engaging best efforts to ensure quality primary education for giving stronger educational base to the children who will advance the nation forward.
They put maximum emphasis on improving the standard of
education at all levels including primary education for making
the future generations properly educated, worthy and competent
for the globalized and competitive world of the 21st century.
Primary Education Development Research Centre and Bangladesh
Primary Teachers' Association (BPTA) organised the rally for the
primary teachers at Begum Rokeya auditorium in Mithapukur upazila
town for improving standard of primary education.
Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry
of Planning HN Ashikur Rahman MP attended the rally as the chief
guest with President of BPTA Moksedul Alam Mandal in the chair.
Former Governor of Bangladesh Bank Forash Uddin Ahmed,
Divisional Deputy Director of the Directorate of Primary
Education Mohiuddin Talukder, Mithapukur upazila chairman Zakir
Hossain Sarker and District Education Officer AKM Aminul Islam,
attended as the special guests.
Mithapukur UNO SM Abu Horaira, Joint Secretary of upazila
Awami League and noted social worker Rasheque Rahman, Upazila
Education Officer Zaved Akhter also addressed the rally moderated
by General Secretary of BPTA Emdadul Haque.
The speakers called upon the teachers' community to take the
best and leading role in making teaching technique easier and
classroom learning interesting for the students through
strengthening their moral courage to ensure quality primary
They suggested for flourishing talents of every child
properly and said that there was no alternative to quality and
time befitting need-based education in achieving the targeted
national development goals.
