KHULNA, April 10 (BSS) - A month-long 11th Khulna International Trade Fair-2012 (KITF) began here on Monday evening at Circuit House Maidan under Sadar police station.

Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque inaugurated the fair organised by Khulna Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (KCCI) to promote local manufacturers and provide a platform for companies to showcase their brands and latest products.

Khulna Divisional Commissioner M Mashiur Rahman, Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) commissioner M Safiqur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Khulna M Zamsher Ahammad Khandoker were present at the opening ceremony as special guests with KCCI President Kazi Aminul Haque in the chair.

The fair arranged a total of 145 stalls and 15 pavilions from home and abroad including Thailand, Pakistan, Iran and India.
