DUNEDIN, New Zealand, March 8 (BSS/AFP) - New Zealand were 243 for nine at stumps on the second day of the first Test against South Africa Thursday, taking a narrow first innings lead after bowling out the tourists for 238.
Trent Boult was eight not out and Chris Martin yet to score,
with paceman Vernon Philander taking four for 50 for South
Africa.
The Proteas resumed at Dunedin's University Oval on 191 for
seven, adding 47 to their overnight total as New Zealand wrapped
up the lower order in the first 45 minutes of play. |
