Rain halt play at Mirpur stadium
 
DHAKA, March 20 (BSS) - Heavy down pour stopped play just after the Sri Lanka were bowled out for 232 against Bangladesh in the crucial Asia Cup match at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur today.

However, rain has stopped at Mirpur Stadium by 7.15 pm BST
and the ground staffs are working very hard using Supersoppers
and all other methods to make the surface playable for the
remaining part.

"If they can't start the game by 9.25 pm, the match will go
into the next day and continue from the position where it ended
today. At 9.25 pm, a 20-over innings is possible, which
constitutes a game," according to the event director Iftekhar
Mithu who was talking to BSS.

"We will start losing overs from 7.15 pm, if play does not
start by then", he added.

Sri Lanka: 232 all out in 49.5 overs. Kapugedera
62,Thirimanne 48, U Tharanga 48, Senanayake 19 not out. Nazmul
Hossain 3/32, Abdur Razzak 2/44, Shakib 2/56, Mashrafe 1/30,
